Four Day School Week (Parents & Community)

Why don’t we look at school all year long schedule. Would help out a lot with the mining schedules and benefits our kids with not loosing so much during the summer and the childcare shortage.

We had 4 day weeks in Montana and it helped working families and ranch kids. Less overhead costs and more time for kids to help at home. Hope it passes.

We need a 4 day school week, All other counties and rural schools around winnemucca do this, why is winnemucca not doing this!!!

I would love this!!! It may mean longer class time but it would also mean more family time. Well worth it!!!

This would be so good for the high school kids who miss so much due to Friday travel times. Kids who need extra help could get tutoring they need to succeed.

Yes this would allow for less bussing issues when activities are scheduled. More time for educators to prepare. This will also allow students to be in class more often not missing out for activities or appointments.

This is a great idea! For teachers and parents! The kids do sports and have to travel on fridays then they have to makeup that learning day!

Monday thru Thursday is ideal !!

My children are involved in sports. A lot of sports events happen out of town and on Fridays. This would allow my children the time for their sports without missing so much school. It would also prevent so many “missed assignments” and the stress of trying to “make up work”.

I would love for this to happen in Washoe County as well.
