I have lived five miles from this park all my life. I have a had a grandpa help build this park.. My dad has seen many Native American items taken from this park in the last 70 years and our school district students lose out on many opportunities for real history so close, closing the golf course is one more step in that direction. This is not OK.

Please don't close this golf course. I grew up right there and would go to the park almost every day. I worked there for one summer. Just because the park isn't in the metro area doesn't mean it's not important. Don't forget about the smaller rural areas in Minnesota - we pay taxes too. The golf course makes the park unique and it is an asset to our community.

Approximately $40 million 2016 budget for Minnesota State Parks operating, maintenance expense. 24% visitors increase since 2008. Overnights up 11%. Eight million visitors generates $15 million annually. Here's the best part... 72% come back more than once. This says a lot about our 75 state parks. Leave the beautiful golf course alone!

Please, please, please don't close this beautiful park. Give it a few more years a everyone will show how much we want this state park kept open. My daughters' grandpa comes up every year for Texas and camps here and everyone picks a weekend and camps with him there. We just (literally 2 days ago) purchased a camper and would like to spend some time at Ft. Ridgely camping and golfing, which our 6 & 23 year old sons love. Ft. Ridgely is such a perfect camping spot! Please give us even a couple more years to show that there is a reason to keep this park open. You can't close it down without even asking the publics input! Please, put on your thinking caps and rethink this and what closing this park will mean to the people that love it! Thank you in advance for rethinking about this. I pray God will give you the grace and peace to keep this park open for the long haul! God Bless!

I take my children here every year for golf, its one of our favorite family outings during summer, please think of the children that closing this will affect!

To close this wonderful gem would be a travesty. I have enjoyed this park for 68 years and intend to keep enjoying it for many more. The golf course is key to this park.

Please keep this course open! It is one of the best courses in Southern Minnesota. I have very fond memories of being here with my parents as a child and would like to pass some of those memories on to my children.
