I don't golf, but I feel the course should be saved. It we lose that, how long before we lose the park and the history.

My wife and I have enjoyed golfing at the Fort Ridgely golf course every year; there is nothing like it!

My parents and grandparents were great friends with Frank Hopkins, a longtime champion of Fort Ridgely State Park. (I remember going to his funeral service in 1959.) It would be a shame to close down any part of the park experience.

Save the golf course, otherwise we'll have a domino effect and they'll want to close the Historic Site. They've tried it before!

Being from Coon Rapids, we try to fet out to the course at leadt once a year. Love the nostalgic vibe at that place. The first hole is onebof my statewide favorite holes

The DNR keeps stating that they are not in the business of running a golf course. The golf course has been running for 90 years with no problems. If you came into the job and the job entails running a golf course, you apparently are in the business of running a golf course. Suddenly it's an issue. Perhaps we should be questioning DNR'S current management's ability to do so? Have they forgotten their mission statement which indicates providing recreation for the public? The golf course was funded with our tax dollars, have they forgotten who they work for? Pathetic waste of legacy money to throw it all away to plant grass......

KEEP THE PARK GOING WITH SOME RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT THAT THE "DNR" IS INCAPABLE OF. WHY WOULD SOMEONE PROMOTE A TWO MILLION PROPOSAL TO RECONSTRUCT SOMETHING & IN LESS THAN TEN YEARS "DESTROY" IT. IS THIS RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT BY PROFESSIONALS????

55 years old and have golfed and camped there my whole life. Any one thinking that closing the coarse won't hurt there camping numbers for the summer is really not informed.I will no longer camp there.

Ive been going to Fort Ridgely for as long as I can remember to golf with my family. Sadly without the golf course I dont forsee going back.
Please save this beautiful golf coarse
