Please reconsider closing the course. It is something that makes Fort Ridgely stand out from the other parks in the area. Plus, by getting rid of the golf course, and also the ball field and volleyball pit, pretty soon there won't be any recreational activities available to draw visitors in. Just coming to view the historical ruins and museum isn't going to necessarily keep people very interested. We need the golf course to stay open to help encourage the next generation of golfers (and those who feel they're not quite ready for the country club scene). Please, give us a chance to problem solve and brainstorm other alternatives and options. We, the taxpayers, deserve that consideration at least. Thanks!

Our family has golfed at Fort Ridgely for years. It makes us sad to think it will be closed.

Please reconsider closing the golf course. I golfed it for the first time last year and very much enjoyed it! Would be sad not to go again.

This is a wonderful park and my kids have enjoyed going there since they were small! Even now that they are teenagers and adults with their own children they continue to go there. Please reconsider

Please keep the golf course open!! To destroy this beautiful course that $2 million of our tax dollars was used to remodel would be a huge waste of that money. Country Clubs are not affordable for everyone and often do not have available T-times. Also, the walking (rather than using golf carts) provides for a great nature walk and good exercise.

Have only played a couple of times but it is a beautiful course and will play again. Reason so little played just moved to the area

I would like the Ft. Ridgely golf course to stay open. This is where I have wonderful memories playing golf with my Mom. She is gone now but my memories will never go away. My husband is buried at the cemetery at Ft. Ridgely. I have so many memories of the state park, please keep it open. Thank you!

Please reconsider cloaing this course. The DNR was wrong for miving forward with this without doing any consulting prior to their public decision.
