I played this course yesterday. What a crime to close this beautiful golf course. How about take out one DNR employee for savings of $75000? This course is first class,and well woven into the history of Fort Ridgely at every hole. Any golf club in MN would be proud. Great design of holes and greens. Unique is great. How many MN parks have swimming pools or buffalo? And what's cost?
A private operator would allow motorized carts, double prices, and PROMOTE. This gem has been a secret.
To destroy this asset would be akin to bulldozing the historic stone buildings that don't get used. I am embarrassed to have not known what was about to be lost. Totally not promoted.

I learned how to golf there and today I took my 9 year old son there for his first golfing experience. It would be a shame to not keep the course going.

This is something I WANT my tax dollars spent on. Trails and parks are not about making money, they are about providing a service for the public.

Why spend all the money to upgrade and then decide to close! Once again my tax dollars being thrown down the drain and then the powers that be wonder why people are frustrated with government. Please get it together! This course is an asset to the area! It needs to stay open!

I have stayed at this park have not used the course but it era very busy when I was there ..it would be a real loss to this state park SHAME ON THE DNR LEADERS !!!!!

money was spent to create this park feature it should be kept and enjoyed like all park features. Money for our parks should be distributed to smaller parks not just the bigger most popular.

This course is a wonderful asset for the State.. Do not undo what has been a great place for youth and beginner golfers to play. I started playing there 57 years ago and treasure the time spent on this course in this beautiful setting.

We need affordable places for younger people to get hooked on the game. It's an activity that will span your lifetime.
