The Ridge is a cool course, without the option of a cart really makes the experience memorable walking the while grounds.

This course has been run for 90 years and now the DNR claims they are not in the business of running a golf course, which is recreation they claim to provide to the public? If it was part of the job when you started, apparently you are in the business. Perhaps we should be questioning the new leadership's ability to do so? This golf course must remain open for the park to survive!

This is a must to keep this golf course. It is the only one of the kind and it draws campers, site seers, bird watchers, and golfers. You may see a drop in your attendance if you close this golf course. It is another feature to being the people to Fort Ridgely.

I played here growing up, when the greens were made of sand, then when they installed artificial greens. Now it's even more beautiful. Please please don't let a small group of people destroy this treasure and waste taxpayer money.

We are being lied to about the reasoning to close! It's all about what the few at the top want....and not what us tax payers want! What a bunch of crap!

A golf course is not just a large piece of grass and space, it is a beautiful place for people to enjoy themselves and be in nature. Golf Is a great way for anyone, especially, the elderly to get some exercise!

Perhaps you should try something new. Listen to the people of the community whom this directly effects. This is our park not yours. We have been here long before any of you were hired or appointed. This is absolutely ridiculous take your grandeous ideas somewhere else and leave this park alone.

What a beautiful park and course - my kids am I go there all the time and love it. What a waste to throw away all the upgrades and the history of the course when it was my understanding that was part of the state park systems goals, to maintain its history. Given the willingness of the local communities to step up and support the course and find a resolution, it's criminal to end it with a blind eye. Shame on you.
