I think its pretty rude to pick someone thats not even from the United States let alone Ft. Dodge. Then you wonder why this town id the way it is!

I agree with keeping it local like all the "higher ups" preach. Someone who knows the area should be in charge of the task. No offense to the lady in Australia, but come on people really?

That money can be spent in much more useful and lasting ways that can help Fort Dodge then a painting on a silo. Why not pay a local a fraction or give that money to schools and let them paint the silo and the money go back into the community instead of a different country.

Keep it local - I don't get the international recognition thing when the silo isn't even in an area of town where it will be seen by people passing through.
