I believe the city deceived the public by not making it VERY well known that the popular vote only accounted for 1/6 of the criteria in choosing the winner.
I believe the statement about putting Ft. Dodge on the map internationally by using an international artist is ludicrous! If we are going to be known in that capacity, then let it be due to the incredible work of a local artist!

There was a vote & the winner was Mr. Johnson by a VERY large margin. Listen to the citizens of Fort Dodge & put Johnson's painting on the silos. Support our local artist.

Truly a very deserving job done by my son . He poured his heart into doing this and spent several hours making sure fort dodge was represented the way a h9metown person would or should . I'm very proud of you Josh . You did a awesome job!!! Keep your head up high . Maybe the decision will be reversed as it SHOULD be . Love you ..MOM

enough of the phoney voting bs. be straight with the citizens about all dealings in fort dodge or be prepared to be replace next election cycle. remember you are elected to do the jobs by us. that includes all city planners-city gov-county supervisors etc. we really are keeping a eye on the way things are being done and alot of us dont like it.

This is Fort Dodge is it not? You want the citizens of this town to be proud. Fort Dodge has so many incredible artists. Why chose someone from out of the damn country even. We Want Our Local Artists!!!
