I do not mind walking my daughter to school, in fact I like the fact that she is getting the exercise. However, with inclement weather more often as winter approaches, drop off procedures for vehicles needs to be put into place. Without the proper procedures, absentee rates will increase as a result of a rise of illness because children are forced to stand outside in harsh conditions. Worse, a child will get hurt from slipping or God forbid, will get in a car accident because of the having to cross a street that is heavily congested, slippery, and lacks a crosswalk. If anything, I find it strange that there aren't safety to indicate a school zone.

I was told yesterday by a DOD cop that they would have to start ticketing those who are parking alongside of the road at the school due to the principal complaining. My husband called the school district yesterday and received a call back from the principal and she said her only concern were those parents who were parking near the entrance to the school due it blocking line of sight for buses and the kids who cross the street there. I do agree if they want us parking across the street they need to fix it so people don't get their cars stuck in the mud as well as walking in it either. Something does need to be done about the speeding that takes place near the school, I think that if there a police presence in the mornings and afternoons that would help so much. This is the first base I have been to that doesn't post MP's near the school during those time frames.

This school has proven unproductive and uncaring for anyone other then their faculty. Who makes little kids stand outside in the inclement weather? Who makes parents park across the street in freezing temps and make them stand outside with their infants to pickup their kids? I'm disgusted with this school on so many levels. Never mind the traffic SPEEDING through crosswalks while I'm still in It with my stroller.

Have the faculty give up their parking lot for the safety of the children. Can park in the grass a cross the street to open up a load/ unload zone. That's what employees do at most companies, anyways. Or, provide bus services for the Fort Fix community. The weather is only going to get worse in the coming months and u should have to get approval from my boss show up late so my wife doesn't have to take our one year old out in 35 degree rain. These are some possible SOLUTIONS to an easily fixable problem.

I agree that a permanent parking structure should be installed for the safety of all. Day one of the school year I was scrolled for,parking in the lot dropping of our preschooler. Day 2 of school our two year old and I were almost hit returning to our suv parking on the street next to the CDC building. Day 3 I parked in the CDC parking lot and was told to no longer park there. Few days later after speaking to the principle about this issue and was given a phone number for the district safety coordinator I believe was her title. She explained to me the district would like very much to put in a parking lot but because the land across the school is JB property they were at their desecration to dean if a parking lot was

please find a safer parking solution for the sake of our nation's hero's and their families! our servicemen and women cannot focus on their job properly if they are worried about their kids and spouse getting hit by a car going into and out of school. In a combat situation, this worry could result in serious tragedy. There has to be a solution, please find it soon before someone gets hurt or killed crossing that busy street!!!

This Subject has been ignored by the school and randomly addressed by SF when they deem appropriate and it is approached differently each time. Accidents have already occurred and the safety and well being is far worse then with our drop off pick up line. We are given a small patch of grass area and a small road in a back area which neither are accommodating or safe. Not to mention when the lawn people come, they use the parking area we were givin, which then leaves us where? If busses are an issue after school that means they are not on time because they should already be there before we arrive to pick up children. Not to mention the speeding they do. The way the officers acted towards families on 12/09/14 was extremely rude and uncalled for and they cause even more safety issues then we already have.
