This Subject has been ignored by the school and randomly addressed by SF when they deem appropriate and it is approached differently each time. Accidents have already occurred and the safety and well being is far worse then with our drop off pick up line. We are given a small patch of grass area and a small road in a back area which neither are accommodating or safe. Not to mention when the lawn people come, they use the parking area we were givin, which then leaves us where? If busses are an issue after school that means they are not on time because they should already be there before we arrive to pick up children. Not to mention the speeding they do. The way the officers acted towards families on 12/09/14 was extremely rude and uncalled for and they cause even more safety issues then we already have.

Yes we need something I hate waiting in the rain then walk back to my car and going to my car the other cars speed down the street. I think we need the drop off back where we drop off at the gym to many kids r getting sick and then the school is going to say that they r missing to much school

I completely agree!! I have to drag my one year old in the rain, sleet, and snow to get my other 4 boys! He is constantly getting sick because of this. I waiting in the rain with my one year old and 3 year old, waiting for my 2 other boys. We were soaked and freezing!

The parking situation needs to be resolved. People speed through the school zone when entering and extinguish the instillation the Pemberton Gate. Also, the "parking lot" provided to parents can only accommodate about 20 vehicles due to the grounds not being maintained. The area is more of a field and due to vehicle traffic, grass no longer grows in most areas and when percipitation is present it is muddy and very slippery. Base leadership or school board officials need to take immediate action! If anyone gets hurt, be that a parent or child, it is on their hands at this point.

To finish my comment...the JB would have to give approval for the parking structure but the safety coordinator i spoke with the lack of funding from the JB budget was most likely what the hold up was for not moving forward to actually building a parking lot. Now as we pick up and drop off in the muddy, slippery, soon to be snowy and I am sure someone will get stuck in grass lot we were instructed by a note that went home with the preschool students, I would like to suggest they at minimum place some gravel to create a parking lot. Realizing asphalt and concrete are expensive but at least gravel would eliminate mud, slipping, getting stuck and a few cans of spray paint could designate parking spaces to eliminate the two fender-benders I have already witnessed.

This school has proven unproductive and uncaring for anyone other then their faculty. Who makes little kids stand outside in the inclement weather? Who makes parents park across the street in freezing temps and make them stand outside with their infants to pickup their kids? I'm disgusted with this school on so many levels. Never mind the traffic SPEEDING through crosswalks while I'm still in It with my stroller.

I was told yesterday by a DOD cop that they would have to start ticketing those who are parking alongside of the road at the school due to the principal complaining. My husband called the school district yesterday and received a call back from the principal and she said her only concern were those parents who were parking near the entrance to the school due it blocking line of sight for buses and the kids who cross the street there. I do agree if they want us parking across the street they need to fix it so people don't get their cars stuck in the mud as well as walking in it either. Something does need to be done about the speeding that takes place near the school, I think that if there a police presence in the mornings and afternoons that would help so much. This is the first base I have been to that doesn't post MP's near the school during those time frames.

I don't think an additional parking lot is necessary. They need a traffic flow plan IN the bus drop off zone. That area can be shared with the bus and can be effective and safe. I'll be at the meeting.
