The kids love this area. They are engineering and collaborating to make the jumps and learning how to take turns. They are learning cooperation the best way which is via ownership of a common goal. They will fail at times- they will scrape knees and have 'dust ups' but this is valuable for their learning. And for some, maybe this 'unsafe' place is safer than home. Let community spirit flourish, nurture childhood .

Allowing children to play increases endorphins and great for mental health...

Kids deserve to play, as kids. Most of us adults remember how it was to be outside all day playing with mates. There was always the odd people who complained, but generally we were allowed to have fun. Outside play is more important than screen time, let’s encourage it! I’m all for these outdoor spaces.

Please help us to keep our children active by allowing them to do more activities such as bike riding in a safe environment close to home. This will create a sense of community and get them playing outside instead of inside on their device.
Thank you for listening.

My kids aren’t yet old enough to join in on such activities but I would like to think they would be able to when they are old enough

I loved driving past and seeing the industrial kids grooming their track as a team and then riding each afternoon. It reminded me of when I used to do that exact same thing. I’d look forward to meeting up with the neighbourhood kids. It’s a shame society has been brought down to this level. No wonder childhood obesity and mental health issues are on the rise- they aren’t allowed to be children anymorw

Let’s keep the kids safe, get them off the streets! Let them dig, create, laugh and support each other
