I feel that the circumstances and the decision to change the name of the ROTC Building on the MTSU campus is a travesty. Forrest should be better remember for his service to his cause and his service to help the widows and families left behind. he has been remembered and his military tactics have been taught at our UN Military Academy. we need to remember that history is a part of our heritage and to know where we are going we need to remember where we have been. General Forrest is a part of our history and heritage and his accomplishments out weigh the criticism of few.

To take General Nathan Bedford Forrest's name off the ROTC Bldg. is so wrong and then to teach his military tactics in military institutes. Leave his name on the bldg.

As a lifetime student & lover of history I ask that nothing be stripped of its name simply due it being associated with a currently frowned upon person and war.

As a present member of the MTSU Foundation Board I have noted a drastic drop in contributions for the first few months of the year following this controversy which several have expressed disappointment in the proposed name change and will withhold future contributions if it is changed.

Keep the name! He was a fine general and should be remembered. Stop the changing of history or we'll end up like Germany!
