Part of homecoming is having a dance that isn't so fancy as Prom, but not so childish like the Link dances. Take the formality in it away and the dance will have even a lower attendance rate. Whoever made the decision is making a huge mistake, I don't know anyone who will go to the dance if it is informal. Formal, I go. Informal, I go see a movie instead.

If it turns into an informal dance no one is going to show up. Everyone wants to take photos in their outfits and look nice for the night.
