Some drivers go at speed less than 40, so delay the normal traffic.

All foreign drivers; visitors, migrants, students, on working holiday visas etc should take the test on the city and country roads before they can hire or buy a car. I come across foreign drivers every week who have no clue how to drive on open road, passing lane, around horse riders & cyclists and simple roundabouts.

Enough is enough. Time to be sensible about a very serious problem.

A plea to the Government- please stop ignoring this serious problem in NZ and introduce Drivers Licence changes so no more innocent people have to die on our roads at the hands of tourists. It is a simple fix - no Tourist Drivers Licence Test, no drive in NZ take a bus!

I have seen a foreign driver drive dangerously after only ten minutes after hiring a rental car in Queenstown Tourists should be included too.

I think there should not even be a question that foreign drivers should prove they are safe to drive on our roads

Given the alarming number of accidents involving foreign drivers, there is clearly a need for further education and evaluation to stop this sort of terrible accident happening to others and to make visitors more aware of their behaviour on our roads.

I am 100% behind this. I am in the process of adding a class 2 license to my Passenger Endorsement and this requires me to do an immense amount of study to ensure the safety of my passengers and those who I share the road with. EVERYONE should be subjected to a process to make sure EVERYONE is safe on NZ roads.

It's common sense. Road rules and conditions change from country. If nothing else this is a chance for the driver to voice any questions they have about driving on NZ roads.

I want to see tighter control on drivers coming from other countries especially Asia, and for all other driver the New Zealand road are off limits unless you have had and been driving for 5 years with evidence to prove this in your own country!

Im a Chinese citizen who have stayed in NZ for six years. I have heard many sad incidents caused by careless foreign drivers. For a better and safer New Zealand. Further restrict polices are urgently needed.
