It is Criminal regarding accidents by visitors. The Minister of Transport is useless as he has his head buried in the sand. Doesn,t want to rock the boat.

It is time the NZ government started to act to protect it's tax payers. At present there is no control for licenses to rent a vehicle. A simple law can be made to correct this. Pass a test before driving in NZ the same as new Zealanders have too.

Alternatively, make all visitors sit a defensive driving test to receive a temp licence, in addition to them already having an overseas license. If no license then sit a NZ one just like everyone else

Defiantly need a change in foreign drivers! In some other countries we are not aloud to drive!!

Also, if under 3 months, a written test should be passed to use a rental vehicle

NZ government need to look after NZers, not foreigners, election next year, siomon bridges & craig foss better wake up!

Change the law now ..can't drive in nz without full driving licence..even in raratonga have to sit license..learn country rules proof confident aware rules off place wanting to drive in... before allowed to drive ..no brainer

We should probably make some New Zealanders re do their tests too, if they fail to follow the rules.
