The vehicle I was travelling in 3 years ago was hit head on by a tourist leaving me with several broken vertebrates, a year of physio and on going pain. This needs to come into play ASAP!

My heart goes out to all people who have lost loved ones in these circumstances. NZ roads are far more difficult to drive on than many around the world.

Those tourists that come from asian countries SHOULD sit a test and maybe include those who are used to driving on the right hand side

This is so important that these people are able to drive. They must sit a test. I drive and I'd like myself family and friends to be safe. We try to stop speeding and the drunks. Now get these people to sit and test. More people will be safer.

All rental car companies should be fitted with driving simulators that tests drivers ability at the facility.

Don't wait until several members of parliament are grieving over loss of a child. Do it now. You are there to make things happen and protect your citizens.

Simple we don't want to be statistics and a headline in the newspaper . I think simply this rule will affect some of the tourist but 90% of the tourist will agree with this law change it will benefit them in others on the road.
