Why is NZ different to overseas when a Kiwi has an accident overseas they get locked up for a few years. But here in NZ we send the tourist home. It's just not fear

Arohanui to the Middleton whanau. The law needs to reflect the responsibilities of foreign drivers on NZ roads, we need to be protected

Some form of testing needs to be done to ensure all drivers meet certain standards. This also encludes more staffing for policing and administering any changes applied.

I live in Palmerston North. Every year citizens watch overseas students learning to drive to whilst on an overseas licence allegedly purchased as one would purchase a text book. It is hazardous and at times terrifying and a NZ licence would stop this nonsense.

I totally agree with you and your reasons for this petition. No more innocent people should suffer at the hands of people who don't understand our road code and ultimately can't drive to save themselves let alone an innocent New Zealand Citizen that could lose their life because of their poor choices!

Minimum, there should be a short license type test for foreigners renting a motor vehicle

She should be returned to nz and made to be sent to prison she did the crime now do the time

Should have been done long time ago but all the government worries about is the tourist dollars ( money before life ) it's called greed

Giving tourists the ability to drive on our roads in the way we would give them a gun and ammunition without a gun licence is simply insanity.
