I was nearly killed while riding my motorcycle by a none licenced foreign driver who did a u turn in front of me with no warning. I am sick to death of our pathetic way we treat all driver training and licensing.

As a motorcylist i have witnessed foreign drivers antics on the road. A u turn in front of me and my partner down south was a very frightning experience. Totally support changing the law for foreigners on our roads to have to sit the same licence we have too!

In memory of the tragic collision that killed Rhys Middleton. A great young man, taken far too soon, and with no justice. The law MUST be changed, and foreign drivers must pass a licence before being let loose on NZ roads.

Should be some sort of competency test before allowing those visiting our country to drive. Especially important for those who drive on the right hand side of the road. Offender should have served full term which in itself was insufficient. I'm a parent of a 26 motor cyclist who was knocked off his bike by a careless driver .... she suffered no penalty or conviction as police said it was an accident. Fortunately our son survived. Those who haven't been driving for 2 years should be prohibited. Sorry for your loss

If you kill someone in China and it is your fault you would be would be jailed for 20 years.

Why let people drive on NZ roads without first determining that they are capable of controlling a motor vehicle and that they understand NZ road rules.
