It's time overseas visitors start sitting the same tests we do to qualify to drive our roads. Too many people are dying and they are killing themselves as well as us! The stringent test we have to go through and often fail for the most ridiculous reasons pale in compare to how they drive when they get here. Time to change!!

Picked up two girls in 20's from Hong Kong yesterday
Flipped their rental car on a straight dirt road
No other vehicle in sight

I back this completly. My hubands cousin was taken out by German tourists in their campervan. A promising rugby player now in his late 30's needs to still live at home as he is now mentally and physically challenged trapped in his own body.

We have witnessed these treacherous drivers on our roads especially the South Island for the past 5 years. It has to stop! We have almost become statistics ourselves because of tourist drivers unfamiliar with our roads and he pays a fine and flies home! Not good enough!

No more deaths! One is one too many, and they are unnecessary deaths. A minimum driving requirement should be compulsory for any and all holidaying foreigners on our roads.
