Foreign drivers to sit New Zealand Drivers Licence test

Is they do need to be tested.

We New Zealanders have to go through long licencing process. All coming into NZ should sit a basics test at minimum for using our roads. Do they understand our signs and language.

I was involved in a crash on 4.1.2017 when coming around a blind bend to find a car crossing from the other side of the road directly into my path. I was lucky to survive. Unfortunately the other driver (a Chinese national) did not. To reduce harm to both New Zealanders and tourists something needs to be done - quickly

I have too many close calls from tourists on the roads. Im a motorcyclist and avoid them like the plauge!

This definitely needs to be done. How many more casualties do we need before anythings done. Now is the time to change this and safe lives

There is nothing wrong with any road in New Zealand. The AA is wrong. People don't drive to the conditions.

Anyone who wants to drive in NZ should have to show a knowledge and understanding of the road code and the road signage. To say they dont understand or speak english is not an excuse. Too many people are dying.
