I agree totally and support this petition one hundred percent. Living in Te Puke with alot of Indian drives is scarey. They recently have taken to using the street I live on to teach each other how to drive with out L plates.

I am so glad someone is doing this as nz transport is a law to them selves and i fully support everything you are fighting for.

Should have to pass a test before being allowed to drive here. Even if just on holiday. There have been too many innocent people killed by foreign drivers.

Foreigners should be made to sit a driving test before ever driving on any NZ road even if only on holiday. They need to understand our road rules and English.

NZers have a strict and time consuming 3 part driving test learning all the road rules...foreigners don't have a clue on our road rules....let alone how to use a Roundabout!

so sick of foreign drivers who can't comply with our road rules, it's not that hard to go the speed limit or pull over if you feel comfortable just like EVERY OTHER NEW ZEALANDER WHO HOLDS A LICENSE. we shouldn't be making excuses for them in OUR country when they aren't doing in theirs for us.

How many more people will be killed by incompetent drivers before National put New Zealander's safety ahead of mindless money grabbing from tourism?

I absolutely agree that all foreign people visiting NZ should be made to abide by our road rules same as we have to abide by their road rules. I've followed a few tourist and they are so distracted by our country's beauty that they are a huge hazard on the road - that's just one example.

And no one should be able to drive without proving they have the skills.
Regardless how long they are here.
Countries exempt. Western countries that have same rules as NZ.
