Fully as this just happens over & over & over, plenty of tour buses for these visitors, no need to drive at all, & yes they couldn't care about being In trouble with the law, they either leave before said case or deported, cute!!

I fully agree with your petition. I had an unpleasant experience going over the Kaimais with a four wheel drive vehicle traveling slowly up the outside lane. I didn't know if it was safe to pass in the inside, anyway I took the chance and passed only to see the driver of this vehicle was definitely Oriental.

I think there should a small test to examine their driving skills. It would be a real hazard if they fail to stop on a stop or even fail to give way! How could any be safe on the motorway when they don't know the rule about the lanes because some of the countries don't even have lanes.

Yes I strongly believe that overseas driver sitting the road code test will make our roads much safer.

I totally agree with Judy, from what I know in China, there are so many Chinese just "bought" a full license (coz the corruption), they do not really good at driving but get full license! It is HORRIBLE and irresponsible for themselves as well as for other people. People from other countries who are not used to drive on the left definitely need to take the test! They need to get used to the left drive before they travel around NZ! It is extremely sad when lose someone you love because of careless driving! Especially NZ has heaps of winding roads!

Why does it just have to be after 3 months though? Should be straight away. In those 3 months they could already cause accidents

Definitely we all need to operate by the same rules, one rule for all

I fully support this legislation. We need to make every effort possible to make our NZ Roads safer for all users. I also believe we need to enforce training of our road rules to all visitors to our Country.

I agree that anyone coming into country for longer than 3 months should have to sit a test, especially if they have applied for residency. They should abide by our driving laws and sit our tests and not be able to drive on other countries licences for first year, etc.

Regardless of how long they are here and wish to drive, should have to pay for a driving test, before they are even allowed on the roads, too many foreigners hitting our people.. KIWI LOVES MATTER

I knew Rhys, such a tragic accident, something needs to be enforced to make sure it doesn't happen again. I fully back Judy & her family to get this put through
