Foreign drivers to sit New Zealand Drivers Licence test

The road rules are different here than other countries, and the roads are also different. I've been told many times by foreigners that the roads here are 'very scary and too fast'. If they can't handle it, they shouldn't be driving. If they want to be driving, they need to prove that they are actually capable of it. For the safety of everyone on our roads, please make them sit the full nz drivers test

I agree the reciprocal international license agreement isn't enough. Tourists are arrogant. I include Kiwis when they travel in this statement too. We all assume that if we drive at home we can drive abroad.

My brother was killed in Otago by an American tourist driving on the wrong side of the road 10 years ago. My brother was 23. The American tourist returned to the States
