Anyone tourist / foreigner wanting to drive in NZ should have a NZ approved driving course which they must pass

Driving ability for NZ conditions should be assessed at the point of renting or purchasing a car in NZ but if the best that can be achieved is 3 months, do it.

Anyone wanting to drive in NZ even for one day needs to sit the test. Make it affordable though as it's not about gathering revenue! It's about road safety!!

I would like to see ALL drivers that come from right hand drive countries have to take a test.
On Christmas eve 2016, we had a very narrow miss that had the potential to kill my whole family.
We are the lucky ones! Those that are not, deserve for the law to be changed, to make a difference for all of us still on the road.

I have personally installed a camera in my due to the amount of near misses i have had with rental cars.

Touristd shouldnt be allowed to drive on our roads without a FULL LICENCE. This is putting kiwis in danger!!

There are many hazards peculiar to New Zealand, one lane bridges is one example. Forieign drivers need to be educated and then their skills tested.

I think it makes sense to educate foreign drivers about our roads, safety issues and to ensure their skills are compatible with our road conditions

I am in Total Support of ALL foreign drivers having to sit NZ Competency Drivers Test in combination with Defensive Driving Course (done in NZ) prior to being able to drive on our NZ roads.
