Foreign drivers to sit New Zealand Drivers Licence test

Government laziness and fear of making the private sector do some work towards this problem is no excuse. What about kiwi lives??

My daughter papa was killed by a Chinese women who pulled out in front of him and his friend they were both killed she had only been in New Zealand 3 weeks..R.I.P Deno she was only fined and lost her license for two lives 4 years on my daughter still asks for her papa

I would like to sign this petition so that tourists to new Zealand will have to sit a driver licence (both theory and practical) before operating a vehicle on our roads. Keep nz motorists safe.

Yes, let's find a way that would logistically work to have foreign drivers tested upon entering NZ! I definitely will think on it some more!

Come on National goverment - People are being killed by foreign drivers getting into rentals and straight onto the road trip without any stand down after a long flight or any test to gauge skill levels for driving. Really poor sector management !!

It's about keeping everyone safe while we share this beautiful country.

I believe all tourists should do the theory and practical test, regardless of how long they are going to be in NZ.
