how many of our road accidents each year are caused by overseas drivers.??? many of them as we here on the news all the time. good one you for starting this petition. I hope it is well supported and gains many signatures

They should be required a test when they first arrive even on a visitors visa. Tourist are shocking drivers down south

Bless you and thank you for transforming your loss into something positive. In fact I would go even further to say that anyone who is allowed to drive in NZ needs to at least pass the NZ road code first!

I enjoy road trips with my family, I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone I know or to myself.

I have family who ride bikes and worry about them every time they are on the road. Well done for starting the petition, it should not be because we have lost a precious child.

As long as it is all foreign drivers from countries where the driving conditions are very different and not just a racial attack on Asians. Therefore it should extend to all "cuzzies" on a long trip . Pacific Islanders and American students etc Anyone who has held a licence for less than 2 years.
I had a NZ and UK driving licence when I moved to OZ and had to sit a test again , so maybe it would be a good idea. Just don't turn it into a racial war and embarrass NZ.

It should be illegal for tourists to drive on our road unless they have had some kind of driving induction. They should not be deported back to their home country after killing someone, they should be locked up in NZ prison. Why should they get away scotch free!!
