Ensure that international licenses are comparable before allowing people to drive. Chinese licences are all theory no practical! So they're learning to drive on our roads which is terrifying.

My mother was killed in a car accident caused by a German tourist in February 2015. I fully support this cause.

I think it is very important for foreign nationals to be confident drivers and to know all the rules whilst driving on our NZ roads. There have been far too many accidents due to careless and not very responsible drivers.

Everyone who wants to drive in NZ should do a test no matter how long they are here. Our windy roads, hills and narrow streets, particularly in the South Island, can be challenging. We have a process for our kids, why should it be easier for anyone else?

What a tragedy, if we can prevent innocent people getting killed, then we have to do all we can.

I believe they should have to take a full drivers test. How can we possibly trust them on our roads, if they are here for that long, without being able to follow the rules in place. From a 16 year olds perspective, I have believed that this is a must, after all the deaths caused by tourist drivers!

All tourists should be road tested, it's our locals, our children, our parents, our whanau, that are at risk. Whether it be open roads or around town. Their lives need protecting. They need to know that they are protected.
