All persons driving in NZ regardless of their length of stay should sit a NZ drivers test in my opinion

supporting my uncle whose son was killed on a motorbike this year by an Asian tourist who didn't know how to drive.

The judicial system and the so called judges in NZ are completely out of touch with what's right and what's wrong in this country. That Chinese woman should have served the original sentence and only sent back to China once completed. A large restitution should have also been awarded to the family of the person she killed.

Recent events are a disgrace... in the death of that young biker and zero f's given by our justice system. Not giid enough. Please change the law asap

I am not a racist person. In fact, my livelyhood depends on foreigners in New Zealand. It baffles me that many foreigners don't need to take a test to drive here, despite their previous countries' having different road rules. If not mandatory tests, then at least mandatory classes to bring foreign drivers attention to our road rules.

Great initiative! I drive the Milford Rd and see daily dodgy driving where we hold our breath when we watch what is unfolding. Time to clean up our roads!

No NZ licence, no right to drive on NZ roads! In the Cook Islands you can't ride a nifty 50 without passing their test, so what 'a wrong with us?!?!
