Foreign drivers to sit New Zealand Drivers Licence test

I completely agree. I've been talking about this for the last couple years so over seeing people get hurt and killed on the road because tourists don't know how to handle out roads

Failing this, they should be made to at least do a defensive driving course.

I was run off road by a camper an driving down a saddle on wrong side of road was lucky I was in spot where I could . They definatlely need to sit something to make sure they know the rules

Every foreigner should be forced to sit a test! Too many accidents caused by drivers who have no preparation to drive our terrible roads and conditions.

Foreign drivers can't drive New Zealand roads they need to learn the New Zealand road code the same as new zealanders have to!

they need to pass a driving test and some need to learn english too.

Save kiwi lives. All drivers on NZ roads must pass a driving test.

Absolutely agree with this. Kiwis should be able to drive with confidence knowing that foreign drivers are better equipped for our conditions.

This needed to be done years ago , hands down easiest way to make the roads down here in southland and otago and nationaly safer for everybody

I am unhappy about tourists here for short periods of time driving without taking a short test also.

I would like to see some sort of law that requires accountability on Judges decisions as well..just saying....
