Completely agree. Too many deaths on our roads, and it's common sense to have a drivers license when driving on any roads.

Don't let them drive unless they sit a test. Too many NZers been killed by foreign drivers

Fully agree this needs addressing, the issue is real. Often the vehicle is of a size the person has no prior experience in driving. Competence must be demonstrated in the vehicle they are hiring/ driving.

1 death is 1 too many, and the fact she walks scott-free is too much.
Save the next life, or the next tourist caused death will be on your shoulders.

Imperative that Foreign drivers on our roads for months leading up to 3 months also know how to drive.!.., a loophole straight away with 'after 3 months'. Come
on !

I believe all foreign drivers should sit a NZ full licence test. So kiwis are and feel safe on our roads and stop dying.

Down the South Island we witnessed a few near misses from foreign tourists driving our roads. I feel it's important they learn our road rules.

You cannot drive in Rarotonga with out showing a licence from country of origin then a physical a basic test. This is for all visitors including kiwi's. This should be the norm here in New Zealand for ALL visitors irrelevant of time in country. If not go by tour operator. If on a working visa then full test from day one.
