Many other schools allow to choose between the p/f option and letter grade AFTER all testing

I most likely will be taking 3/4 of my classes pass-fail (mental health, family commitments are getting in the way of turning in work in a timely manner). Once I finalize the decision, I know that the quality of my schoolwork is going to significantly decrease and some assignments will never get done, which certainly will give me more time, but if we have until the end of the year to decide, I know I will get more out of my classes (and with that, my tuition) because I’ll still be aiming for that A.

I do not even have midterm grades listed because of these unprecedented times... how are we supposed to make such an important decision without proper background information????

I have no idea what most of my grades are because my professors do not provide them.. I don't really understand how I am supposed to decide P/F when I have no information to decide from and I don't know how I am doing in a class...

The professors are terrible and don’t care about anything other than their opinions.

In my opinion the deadline should be extended and some of us are facing unprecedented hardships including losing family members and working on the front lines. I am a medical assistant in pediatrics and have been working double shifts due to the lack of employees. On top of this intense stress I also fear for what will happen with my grades; as of now two of my classes have only given us few grades. Majority of what makes up our grades (e.g,. research papers/projects) are being graded after the P/F deadline and the professors will not grade them earlier.
