Unless a mandatory pass/fail option is enforced, the University has a responsibility to its students, and their academic/ professional futures, to extend the pass/fail deadline. Cura-personalis.

We should definitely do this. Some courese structures are changed and it is hard for us to have a good sense of whats coming after. Some of my professors keep delaying promised results of midterms, adding stress to the situation.

Many other institutions implemented a P/F policy (such as CUNY) that allows students to first see their final grades. I don't think it's fair that Fordham forces students to make a comparatively hasty decision with students' grades considering how switching to online learning disproportionately affects POC, lower income students, and students with children--especially those CURRENTLY in New York.

Please allow the students to make a decision on a pass/fail grade when the semester is nearing the end .

I have responsibilities for home, work, and classes right now. I have family members and friends that were close to death and some who did die. I have been struggling to do assignments on time and I feel unsure on pass/fail for some classes and need more time to decide. Please extend the deadline.

A lot of schools have made p/f an option after students receive their grades. With the pandemic going on, it's important to understand that some students cannot control their environments, many environments that might impede on study from home.

I find working at a home brings many memories of my physical, mental, intellectual, and emotional abuse. I relied on my previous routine to keep me floating but without it it is making it more difficult.

Not being able to estimate my grades because of the disruption in coursework and inability at times to complete work to a regular standard and then having to decide whether to pass/fail a class before I know or have a better understanding of my grades has added to the immense amount of stress I and many of my classmates are already experiencing. I would really appreciate the administration taking this action under consideration.

This is a standard at other colleges affected by the pandemic and I feel that we should do the same

Most of us do not have the privilege of knowing that we’ll be in a stable situation over the next month. Please be accommodating of this.

Many universities extend the deadline for pf option to after the semester is over. Please look into making the policy in accordance with that. I and many students would greatly appreciate the elevated stress. Thank you.

It’s only fair. Online learning is more difficult than in class, and giving a P/F option extension would allow us to properly asses whether or not we should use said option.

As a current student I should focus on my academics first and have pass/Fail options after I receive my grades back. I already submitted my pass/fail and i have zero clue what my letter grade will be.

For many classes, I have not been told how a final exam would be administered. While lacking critical information such as this, I feel unable to make an informed decision at this time.
