Tesco's has been catastrophic for Dartford. Large corporations should not be allowed to devastate our towns in this way.

Tesco - you have held a huge chunk of land in Dartford with the promise of investment. During this time we have had to watch the town slowly die. Please now do the right thing and sell the land so our town can be rebuilt.

If ppl feel really strongly about this, they could also boycott both Tesco Express stores in the town.

Tesco have blighted Dartford for 10+ years. The management should be ashamed of their bullying tactics. The Lowfield Street should be developed for affordable housing with gardens not more apartments.Play areas for children also important. Dartford doesn't need more shops we have too many empty units now.

It is outrageous that a supermarket can dictate the future of a town. A Masterplan for the whole town should be developed and this should include opening up the river [we have turned our back on it] Protect the park and look at the relationship between the town and the park. Make Dartford a thriving market town and destination again. Come on Dartford lets fight back and sign this petition and demand that they give the land back. Where is the compensation for the impact of their actions. Les May Dip Arch

They have made Dartford look like a run down area with all their delays in building the new store. They should now sell so that regeneration can begin. Hopefully lidl will now be allowed to build.

I think DBC should purchase the land and build much needed houses and flats, The council are always complaining there is not enough council accomidation.... NOW is there chance to invest in local people....

They should sell the land to another superstore. We could do with something like an ASDA for people who can't travel as far as Bexleyheath or Greenhithe!

Tesco should sell the land they have procured but they must do so in a way that is acceptable to the residence and the remaining businesses of Dartford. The people of Dartford should have a major say in how and to whom to this land is sold (e.g not property speculators). This would be considered to be at least a sign of some contrition by Tesco.

sell so another superstore can build and open. Dartford needs this.
