Myself and my wife returned from India in December with our beautiful daughter. I hope and pray that the relevant bodies take this petition very seriously. The adoption process is already a long and stressful process without the current hurdles PAP’s are facing. Like the PAP’s caught up in this very unfortunate situation we are privileged to be in a position where we can offer a child the best possible start in life, surely this is something that the authorities should be supporting and not creating barriers. So much time has passed without progress from the relevant bodies, time which PAP’s do not have. Surely people who are willing to go through this difficult process to give these wonderful children a home, an education, a future should be supported wholeheartedly. During my time in India I saw so many children who need a loving home. After 6 long years we finally made it to the light at the end of the tunnel. In such a short time our daughter has brought so much joy to our lives, I hope other PAP’s also get to experience this. My heart goes out to all the PAP’s who are still chasing that light. I wholeheartedly support this petition. I cannot stress the importance that this petition is taken seriously and hope the authorities take action in support of the PAP’s as a matter of urgency.

I am an adoptive parent of a little girl from India. Please allow other families the joy and happiness that I have experienced. There are so many beautiful children in India waiting for families to love them.

I hope this situation is resolved for all the families involved. it's a very sad situation knowing that children are languishing in India and the authority in a first world country can't and won't help this children. Very sad indeed.

I call on the AAI to support the families hoping to adopt from India. At the heart of all this are children who need a home and a family, and Irish families who want to live love, stability and the security of a forever family to these children.
