Following on from the adaptation of The White Queen on BBC1, it now seems the perfect time to petition one of the TV channels to adapt The Sunne in Splendour, by Sharon Kay Penman.

This is a much better novel set during the Wars of the Roses, and as it is far more historically accurate than The White Queen and arguably more popular it is only right it is given the chance to shine on TV. It is about time this era was given the attention it deserves!

This should be adapted in to a multi series drama. The story is too rich to cover in one series. It is epic, Game of Thrones style!

We need a more accurate portrayal of the Wars of the Roses. Either you have Shakespeare's Hollow Crown farse, or something that puts drama before the full truth. The Sunne in Splendour would rectify this and let people finally have a more accurate image of those tumultuous times and noble characters.

I am currently re-reading (probably for the 10th time) Sunne. I would love to see it on TV or even as a film as long as Sharon was able to have a s much control as JK Rowling had with Harry Potter.

I've read and reread this book again and it made me appreciate the life of Richard III who in my opinion could of been the best monarch in history. He was much too honest and trusting for his times although his short brilliant life should be accurately portrayed to tell his story based on historical fact not Tudor slander.

My first Penman book was Falls the Shadow, in 1998,before I finished reading it I was at book store buying the rest of her books. I reread them at least once a year. I would love to see Sunne In Splendour made into TV show. Her books are like old friends that I have to keep seeing.

Having just finished the first book [Edward IV] in Sunne, and watched the tv series 'The White Queen' with Aneurin Barnard as Richard III, not only do I DESPERATELY need the Sunne to be turned into a series, but also Aneurin in the role of Richard, since he is amazing for the part!!!!

Female authors of historical fiction, an their readers, have been ignored far too long
