Yes, it's a dangerous pathway for walkers & cyclists so a footpath is really needed!

Does not feel safe to walk along side the road, which is often travelled by fast trucks.
It is especially dangerous on market days when both sides of the road are parked up.

The more footpaths the better! We definitely need one up Ganges Hill, it is a dangerous place to bike and walk as it it.

I live just off Ganges Hill, it is my daily commute either by foot or by bike would be my choice but feel it is so uneven, dangerous and not user friendly. It so simply could be better and then many many more people would use it not just for recreation but for their commute into Ganges. It needs to be a priority.

I would love to see a path that allows walkers to feel safe and comfortable as they head down or up Ganges Hill.

Hello,
I walk up Ganges Hill sometimes and feel very unsafe as cars rush by me. Sometimes they come so close I fear they will hit me. Walking on this island is often scary because of traffic and the lack of footpaths. There have been a few put into place, which are great, and more are needed. For those of us who do not or cannot use a car to get places, footpaths are very helpful to keep us safe. Thank you for your help with this matter.

Every time I drive to/from town and see people walking with their backs to on coming traffic--as if the white line at the edge constitutes a safe division of people from cars--and I worry that it is going to take a serious accident to lead to action.

Walking or riding into town should be an enjoyable event. Walking this section is currently much too stressful and dangerous. This community prides itself on healthy lifestyles and reducing unneeded vehicle trips - providing a pathway would be so helpful.

just making improvements to some of the unofficial pathways would make them feasible all year round

A footpath here and also for the children on Rainbow Road from the high school should be a priority due to safety concerns.

Definitely a useful project for all concerned, walkers including children pets, adults, visitors and drivers of all ages, as well as those riding bicycles. We have wonderful paths being built coming out of town and this road is as well used as the others but with even less leeway between the car and the ditches for people walking or biking.

We very much need this footpath. I am worried about the safety of children and adults on this road. It is time! Thanks for starting the petition.

IMO all that is needed are signs on both sides of the road saying, "For your safety, walk facing traffic, and wear light clothing after dark"...less than $1,000 all in and promotes the common sense my parents taught me.
