We have been on Salt Spring Island for only one year and consider the need for this footpath to be of the highest priority.

Long overdue on busy Ganges Hill. We need more sidewalks on Salt Spring as it's currently very dangerous for pedestrians.

This is a critical commute section serving a large population, many of whom are at greater risk either through life circumstances or vulnerability (i.e. walking/cycling on a busy narrow road). A safer footpath would go a long way to improving safety and comfort on this stretch.

This stretch of road is used so much by pedestrians and cyclists. Also seemed to get a lot of parking lower down towards town.

Way past due. The road shoulder/ pavement interface is getting worse every year.

What a great idea! Makes it safer for all who share the roadway. Consider a footpath and bike lane at the same time perhaps?

For years I have walked this Hill and every time I felt scared for my and my child's life. There is no where to walk...sometimes having to go right in the ditch when cars pass...not to forget to mention how close the exhaust is. Please let us focus on road safety for our children here on island and let's put extra effort in being environment friendly.

We desperately need this footpath to town. It is dangerous to walk with children without it.

Walking can save us from ourselves! Walking paths can improve quality of life and are a real sign of civilization. Thanks for this initiative and email me with volunteer opportunities please.

Desperately needed......perhaps a wide pathway that could accomodate both walkers and cyclists???
