Walking is a wonderful form of transportation and will give us not only added safety for but more of a village feel so both locals and tourists can benefit!

It is only a matter of time before there is an accident on this stretch of road. Pedestrians are obliged to walk on the side of the road with traffic approaching from behind them and particularly at night this is a very hazardous thing to have to do.

Pedestrians use this access regularly. A footpath would reduce hazards significantly before any serious injury occurs especially during the dark nights of winter.

Just for safety reasons this path would make sense. I love to walk and bicycle to town but the idea of facing the Ganges Fulford Highway leaves me with second thoughts.

An excellent idea!

This is urgently needed. There also has to be some thought to bikes as well because it is hard churning up that hill and you can become quite wobbly. The traffic is unforgiving because the oncoming traffic gives them little room to manoeuvre. The fumes add insult to danger.

Though rarely walking the hill, as a southender I frequently travel it driving to and from Ganges. A broad footpath is badly needed to protect pedestrians from the moving traffic. The road's narrow shoulders feel far too skimpy to accomodate the many pedestrians. In truth, I feel nervous driving in such close quarters! It's not like vehicles are slowing down to school zone speeds!

Thank you Transportation Commission for a much needed local footpath from Ganges to the Community Centre...

much needed, with heavy traffic and so little room to walk safely or enjoyably.

As a cyclist I would feel safer with this proposed path and I feel the whole community would feel safer.

It is very much needed. I witnesses a youth so close to getting killed on that hill because he had to walk out on the road during the icy winter. Everyone would benefit, pedestrians and drivers. Thank you.

This would be an excellent addition to the planned pathways on Rainbow Rd. and on the dangerous stretch between Rainbow Rd. and Harbour's End.

A pedestrian path on FG Rd south of town should have been the first priority!

I bike to and from work daily and live on the F-G Hill, I new path would be so helpful and so much safer, I'm tired of being honked at while cycling up the road I live on. It's the most difficult stretch of road for drivers to share with cyclists on the island in my opinion.
