Isn't there a way to make this location economically viable for the retailer? If this location is a community good (which is what people seem to be saying) then is there a role for a public policy here?

The Krogers on 2nd street is the closest store to me. They have a wide range of products and fresh fruits and vegetables. Please do what you are able to stay to serve our community. In the last two years, the store has improved and it is sad to think that it will be gone.

My store...there 3-4 times a week. Also. the ONLY place in the downtown core where every walk of life congregate, and shall we say communicate...,say hello!

Closing the 2nd street Kroger will make it difficult, if not impossible, for some urban Louisville residents to obtain fresh fruits, vegetables and high nutrient value foods. Please take steps to stop the loss of this Kroger from Louisville.

Sadly, I believe Metro Government is going to have to subsidize Urban food markets to entice them to stay. Profit is more important to them than social res

Please keep the 2nd Street Kroger open. It is a necessity for residents of Old Louisville and Downtown. It's products and services continue to improve with time. Keep it open. Enable the continuation of its improvements!

The problem is with the out-of-state landlord, apparently a teacher's union. Open a Kroger at the old Winn Dixie site on S. 4th Street.

I work with older adults in this area. Many of them depend on this Kroger. Others have said this closure doesn't matter because there are other Kroger stores 2.5 miles away. For the adults I work with, that is too far to access in a motorized wheelchair, which forces them to spend more of their limited income on bus fare or other transportation. The other convenient stores in the area have limited selection and high prices. The residents deserve to have an affordable grocery store in their own neighborhood!

Access is good food is already a problem in lower income areas in this city. This will effectively "kill off" another section of the city that is making strides towards revitalizing itself. WE ARE A CITY, NOT A SUBURB!!!!
