The recent closing of Kroger on 2nd St. is an obvious injury to many people who depend on it. Incomprehensible.
If Trader Joe's or Aldi's were to consider opening a store in that space would they have any better chance to negotiate the kind of lease they would need?

I am saddened by the loss of 2nd St Kroger market. Only another market of its same size and offering to take its place is acceptable. Thanks to the store managers for the bus service. And Lind Keeton!!! terrific.

Many of those without sources of transportation, and are trying their best to get by despite the challanges that face them whether it be poverty, mental illness or a disability frequent the downtown Louisville Kroger. Most of them walk to and from the grocery store. They need a place to buy food that they can walk to, and they will have to walk much further if this place closes. Please keep that in mind.

Closing the 924 S 2nd Street Krogers will be devastating to huge number of elderly and disabled who live nearby. A weekly shuttle service is not the answer for those who need prescriptions filled and regular access to staples. Please show your humanity and commitment to the neighborhood!

Please keep the Kroger open on 2nd Street as many of these residents have no way to access other food sources and are handicapped and ride wheelchairs to get to 2nd Street.

there are thousands of old and handicapped people in I would guess about 15 nursing homes and other high rises that are absolutely dependent on this store. One shuttle , once a week wont help. it seems to me that neither the landlords or Kroger actually understands or cares about the scope of the suffering they are imposing on the people of this neighborhood.please come by and at least visit the store, watch the neighborhood,talk with the people and sit down together with the city government and spare the second street Krogers. thank you
