Food insecurity in Nunavut is in urgent need of government attention. At Food Secure Canada, we are working with groups across Canada to advocate for a Universal Healthy School Food Program. I invite you to join us!

Feed the children, this gov. is so corrutp and incompetent trying to enforce Agenda 21 World Depopulation signed by 179 Countries. Georgia guidestones say only 500,000,000 get to live. By 2016 the 1% will hold 50% of the World's wealth. Only the strong and smart will survive. Stop starving People and dee them.

I am disgusted that Canada would allow starvation in the North and look the other way. Malnutrition is children does irreversible damage to the brain. This can only be called genocide. If you do not provide food, shelter, clothing and clean water you are guilty and we will hold you to account. We can no longer watch while the Trustee of these people ignores the responsibility and uses privilege as a whip to increase their misery.

A procative approach to this dangerous nutritional problem in Canada's north is preferable ..

The people of the North are suffering from deliberate neglect and it is not good. There are retailers in the North who do not have empathy with their customers and one of them was successful in removing the Food Mail Subsidy with Canada Post and replaced it with adding a subsidy to good delivered to the North, the freight and the markups applied to the full cost including freight and then the subsidy was added to these inflated prices delivered in the North. That was not so with the Southern retail prices and the mail in subsidy added to reduce an already cheaper basket of goods. This only benefits the Northern Retailers and not the people so much so that the Auditor General for Canada cannot ascertain the benefits of this $80 million subsidy over the last three years. There is no option whereas the option would allow the customer to speak with his money.

It's a proven fact that proper nutrition helps the students learn in a fuller capacity.

Food is a right. Please recognize that we pay for it now, or we pay for it later in the form of poor health, and social consequences.

It's a sad situation that the children of Nunavut are excluded from such a program . It is costing the Federal Government more to transport these children under 7 to Churchill for dental surgery. Every ch should be enttitled to a nutrious meal. We live in a prosperous country! God bless Canada and the people of Nunavut!

Every child deserves help.. I definitely think the morning snack and lunch program should be offered to these little ones.. I wish I knew how to help...

Distance is only one factor. Not a reason for the lack of Food Security in the schools of Nunavut.
