Want more jobs in Springfield? Please stop by Precision and sign our petition to keep local food vendors open! Jerome with MJ's chicken and fish rents a spot in an un-used lot next to our building. He pays rent, utilities, garbage, water, as well as paying for employees yet the city is trying to close him and others like him down. The proposed amendment would require places like MJ's to be one and a half to three football fields away from ANY Brick-and Mortar restaurants. This is ridiculous! This shouldn't even be up for discussion at the city Council meeting. Come show your support for local businesses, sign our petition today! PLEASE SHARE THIS.... Thanks, Trevor Miller
I really thought this might just fizzle out but the momentum is actually wild right now and it feels like people are finally noticing how unfair this is to Jerome. It is funny because I was just staring at the empty lot while drinking my coffee and thinking about how quiet the street would be without the smell of that chicken which is just a tragedy honestly.

Legislating away competition does not provide a level playing feield that some of the complainers have requested. If food trucks are operating by trespassing, deal with the trespassing. If they are leaving behind trash, deal with the trash issue. But don't eliminate businesses with unneeded ordinances!

these complaining business should concentrate on good food and better service. then attracting customers would not be such a big deal.
