A subscription should give access to all the records. I will seriously consider not renewing if this money grab goes ahead.

Very disappointed that FMP are adding further prohibitive costs on top of the subscription fee and taking advantage of their subscribers. Very unethical.

This should be free to members. FMP lost my respect long ago. I will find some other way to get my info, because I will not pay for info that should be available through my current subscription.

I already pay for this site, I think if there is a charge, current members shouldn't have to. Pay. If they do at a good discount t price

There is no way I'm prepared to pay such a high price for this. Daylight robbery.

Quite simply shabby behaviour by FMP against loyal subscribers

Disgusted that these records aren't included in the already expensive annual subscription fees. Even worse, no one was told that subscribers would have to pay extra and many subscriptions would have been renewed to ensure access to these records.

the pricing model FMP is ridiculously expensive , records of national importance should be made much more affordable .

Shocked to find access is not part of world subscription.

I took up FMP offer of a discount if I renewed my subscription early. On the confirmation of payment and membership it clearly states"You have a years access to all Britain records on the site" now they say I have to pay for the 1939 register! Broken contract? Trading Standards investigate please

A complete and utter rip off. I can only hope that people stand together and do not let themselves be sucked into this greed. People will find it hard to leave the register alone I know, it is such a temptation to give in but try to be strong. The charges will have to be reduced to a sensible amount if only people stand together.

I am very disappointed -and they replied to my complaint with a standard rely - not covering my question about why the extra charges were not mentioned in subscription or publicity for the 1939 Register. They must have known about the charges some time ago. I bought my subscriptions specifically in anticipation of access to 1939 Register.

I have a world subscription but I cannot afford to pay £6.95 per household on top!

Best joke I've seen for ages - except nobody's laughing - and that includes FMP who will only be crying 'all the way to the bank' when subscriptions drop off dramatically.

Deeply disappointed - agree with comments here and on Facebook - they don't even have courtesy to reply to individual points, just standard response. They must have known about the charges some time ago. Shameful. How many people bought or renewed subscriptions thinking they'd get access to 1939 Register. Genealogy is just a profit making business to them.

Too expensive per household. British Newspaper Archive does a good value stand-alone annual subscription that would perhaps be a better idea for the 1939 register
