Problem is becoming all too frequent, the current drainage system simply cannot cope. Increased development off church road feeds I believe into the existing system. The systems cannot cope, how can this be allowed to happen.

This should not be happening on a regular basis, there is something not right with the drainage and the residents deserve the right to have the authorities sort it out ASAP

Money would have been better spent on flood prevention in the area / estates around the Castle grounds than revamping the Cross

Time to take action, proactive rather than reactive. Clear out the nedern and surrounding areas.

I saw the flooding at its very worst and feared for the residents of Castle Lea. The moat around the castle started to fill up too. The castle grounds were an unbelievable sight with the toilets and playground submerged.

Would appear that Monmouthire c.c. are more concerned about disrupting wildlife in the Nedern than they are protecting the rate paying residents of Castle Lea/Castle Lodge estates.

A perpetual problem, as well as flooding from the Neddern, water comes back through the drainage system. Increased development is making the situation worse. Where is the planning?

I never remember it ever flooding as bad as it has in the past few years.
My question is has the flooding got worse since the second Severn crossing was built. is the excess rain water gathering in the nedern basin area being restricted from escaping into Severn estuary.
