Even if I agreed with the idea of the surveillance state (I do not) Flock has been shown to be dangerously incompetent when it comes to security and safety. Benn Jordan on YouTube has numerous videos breaking down how horrible Flock is as a company. They should not be in Hyattsville!

While proposed to keep our city safe, these past incidents across the country show that these cameras do the opposite by supporting ICE in committing human rights violations and unconstitutional actions.

This information in the wrong hands makes every face on those screens a target for victimization. City Council stop this.

I am shocked and disappointed by this move by our city council. We must keep our residents safe and allowing this type of surveillance is absolutely the wrong way to do that. End this now!

Don;t give ICE another tool for their indiscriminate round-ups. Remember that we will all be subject to this surveillance. Do you want to be responsible for allowing it? Someone you know could be hauled in for being the wrong color, wrong gender or expressing the wrong views.

Do not infringe on our rights to privacy! These license plate readers are an infringement on our rights and they must not be installed.

It is unnecessary. We do not have to cave into a police state mentality.

We do not need to be surveilled as we go about our daily life.

Flock has been shown over and over again to be a massive breach of privacy with images supposedly private or erased still available to almost anyone. I, for one don't want to live in a surveillance state, especially during this time when law enforcement is increasingly hostile to communities. Flock is NOT to be trusted. PLEASE do not use this technology.

If you don't understand that surveillance without evidence of a crime is a violation of Constitutional rights, you have no business serving in government.

I strongly oppose the proposed contract with Flock Safety; in the current environment, this intrusive technology compromises privacy and safety of our communities.

Once we put these in place, there's no telling where the info from scanning license plates will end up.
