Petition to the Legislature We the undersigned consider the health and safety of children a top priority, even more so when those children are dependent on the state. These are children that have been abused and are now protected by the state. We are terrified of what the future might bring to these children if you proceed with the proposed budget cuts. The reductions in services and assistance to abused children are unconscionable. If these cuts become reality, we may find that the ultimate cost may not be dollars but the life of a child. Frontline workers will continue to work hard to protect and find families for these abused children. But the budget cuts will mean higher caseloads and fewer resources to help these children become part of a loving family. What are the possible outcomes of these cuts Death or serious injury to children, homelessness for those aging out of foster care, fewer adoptions, and fewer families rebuilt and strengthened. Stop cuts in services to abused children. Don't let the state re-abuse them. No excuses accepted.

How can they even sleep at night thinking about this? Those poor children deserve a chance at a normal life.

Ridiculous to cut funding here. Our budget should be protecting the most vulnerable not leaving them out to dry.

FL needs to wake up. Greed over lives is exactly what this is. Fix this mess before something tragic happens.

I work with foster families and the stress is already way too high. These workers are burnt out and the kids are the ones who suffer. This is heartbreaking.

These kids already went through enough. Taking away their support system is just plain cruel. Do better!!
