AVL is so congested now that locals will not go downtown. Stop this ulcer now. keep it local, its a heritage building for local businesses, not a luxury hotel prospect. VOTE NO!!!

A downtown that supports a variety of uses makes our City more vibrant and resilient over the long-term. Council has a role to play in how our downtown evolves through zoning requests such as this. We need to build a City that works for everyone, not just tourists.

We don’t need any more hotels downtown. They are impractical and unnecessary at this point to add more. Are we even filling the ones we have? We need to start focusing on local economic development and not creating more tourism which actually harms the locals in many ways economically.

Having people coming and going to work downtown in the Flat Iron Building is what keeps that block so vibrant.
