Save the Flatiron Building

Please restore the Flatiron budding and keep rents affordable for businesses, practitioners, and residents. We do not need another hotel!

We want out downtown back! Small business is the heart of Asheville! We need housing for Ashvillians. No more hotels, inns, motels, etc. Please don't permit the Flatirorn Bldg

why does this town continue to build uninspired new buildings, and disregard the beautiful ones with integrity standing proudly in front of them.... ? please leave the downtown buildings with dignity alone.

please stop removing the beautiful historic buildings of asheville...it is heartbreaking to see a town throw it's soul away so easily.

Enough, this short sighted coddling of hotels will eventually put Asheville back 50 years when they leave. Stop taking away what makes this town attractive in the 1st place.

There are far too many places to place a hotel that would not destroy a 93 year old building!

We have enough construction and hotels in Asheville! Stop destroying our history and beautiful city!!!!

Out of all of the hotel projects that have been approved and built in recent years, this is one of the most poorly conceived ones, and is a direct slap in the face to downtown merchants and residents. No integrated parking, no loading area, lost sidewalks, further impacts on already inadequate public parking decks in general, further restricted use of Wall Street, displaced local merchants (and some residents), already-crowded streets becoming more impassible.... and the loss of an Asheville landmark to the hotel machine. This needs to be shut down NOW.

Let me say again, we do not need another hotel...or the additional cars it will bring to that neighborhood!!!

As a resident of Battery Park Area I am strongly opposed to the Flatiron conversion plan. It would make Battery Park Ave. a traffic gridlock for residents and tourists.

Enough hotels. Stop the madness. Preserve local micro businesses and keep our historic landmark buildings in use by Asheville residents.

Please do not turn this beautiful building into a hotel. THis is part of Asheville history and should remain a place for local businesses!!!

No more hotels downtown. Asheville will die out if you keep pushing the locals and their businesses out of the city in favor of tourist activity and preferences. What does Asheville have to offer if you change it so much from the place that attracts all the visitors? Focus on local housing and keeping your population HERE, rather than forcing us out because you want to line your pockets.

Let's keep our historic buildings and landmarks places for everyone to use and enjoy, not just tourists.

This is not the right place for a hotel.
