The Flat Iron is too iconic to hotelify. Enough is enough.

How many hotels are enough??

No more hotels. Keep it what it is!

When will the city of Asheville stop making it difficult for the people that live here, to continue their good work and charity? The developers and tourists are overwhelming our existence. Vote no on the hotel.

We are losing the character of our city-the very things that make us unique and special. We don’t need to lose this as well

This does not help to create a vibrant, functional, or enjoyable downtown. Decisions like these are short sighted and take away from the charm that has made Asheville so charming in the first place.

We do not need another hotel! Please vote no on turning the Flatiron building into a hotel! When you take away an individuals livelihood by evicting them, you lose the character and heartbeat of our downtown.

A real shame to accommodate tourism over local businesses.

I agree,,Asheville is getting to much like New York,,,I like the Asheville,live within 15 minutes,not been there in years..shame...

To whom this may concern; I write this to you In hopes to reconsider other options to maintain the Historic Flatiron Building in downtown Asheville as its been functioning for many years rather than another hotel. As a small Business owner and entrepreneur this for some people is a second home to them and have put their heart and soul into the opportunity of entrepreneurship and small business opportunities. I believe that taking away this option Is taking away from the charm this building represents for our city. Most clientele I experience are tourists and explain that they come here and travel to experience unique things such as a small business like mine but most Importantly the Historic building its self and the SkyBar. My business is small business and involves skin care and ecstatic’s a Spa Boutique, and has grown and developed with the option of the SkyBar being available is a charm of the vintage building and has allowed me to grow as a business owner and understand just how business works using different marketing skills that are building offers. I have online specials that are offered one being called Groupon and brings many people to this side of the city in our area and to our building! I have brought quite a bit of wonderful people from around the world as well as local community to enjoy new skin care aesthetic’s options. I very importantly let our guests know from around the world as well as new guests who have moved to our city Just what wonderful things are city has to offer I explain to them the restaurants that are wonderful to go to and let them know about other local small

Mixed use residential/office/retail is the way to go on this building.
