We do not need another hotel. They are choking out small businesses and local people. Eventually, there will be nothing left for tourists to come see and enjoy.

No more hotels until the city allows road improvements to handle the increased volume of traffic. Another hotel downtown is an asinine idea until we put money into the infrastructure that can support it.

City Council- make the right decision here and vote NO on converting the Flatiron building into a hotel. I have been a resident of Asheville for 24 years, and a small business owner with an office in the Flatiron building. Please don't displace all the hard working locals, and don't further congest our downtown by prioritizing valet service over industry, art, and community.

We do not need any more downtown hotels. Downtown should welcome tourists, but it belongs to locals.

As someone who was born and raised here it’s so sad to watch all the things that made Asheville home to me, disappear. This is part of historic Asheville.

Please do not build another hotel downtown. The building could be used in so many other ways. We need to keep the history alive and keep the building. Also locals could use apt or condos for more living space. And the people currently using the building for their business need this building to survive and keep living and working in Asheville. I do not approve building this hotel.

Time to focus on the local tax payers of Asheville. Stop pandering to big money interests. This will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

I am have been small business owner on Wall Street for 8 years and this is a BAD move. Parking downtown is horrible and this will only make matters worse. If this is passed, I will be moving my business and residence elsewhere!
Save the building.
